Yep. You hate cow milk. And you're looking for the best substitute. Sorry for disappointing you, but this is not exactly the best cow milk replacer.

The truth is that it has its positive and negative side. 

1. According to experts, almond milk is not rich in proteins. One cup of almond contains 1 gram of protein, unlike 8 grams in case of cow milk. 

2. Is it a great source of calcium? Nope. In fact, it only has 2 milligrams of calcium per cup, while the delicious cow milk has 300 milligrams. Feel sorry for you, if you're a vegetarian. 

3. One of the best things is that it contains just  60 calories/cup, while the whole milk has about 146 calories. 

4. Is it good for the bones? Well, it packs about 30% of the necessary amount of calcium that your body needs everyday. Yes, it's good. But not amazing.  

5. What about vitamin D? One cup contains 25% of the daily amount of Vitamin D that your body needs.
