According to Dr. Ioan Coman, we must respect a few simple principles: balanced diet with a low consumption of salt and animal fats, exercise, avoid smoking or excessive alcohol drinking. Start with low consumption of saturated animal fat to protect your heart.

Saturated animal fats are also called bad fats, they are found in red meat, dairy products like butter, cream cheese, in pastry, biscuits. From eating these foods in high quantities results high cholesterol and cardiovascular illness.

Good fats,  mono and polyunsaturated vegetables, are effective elements that prevent heart disease. Poor fish, vegetable oils, spreadable margarine,  peanuts, pistachios, seeds, are foods high in fats and unsaturated fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6, important for a healthy heart.
